Hear Glue Ear (HGE) — Production Rebuild
Serving as Maintainer on the production rebuild of Hear Glue Ear, a children's health
and education app for families managing glue ear — working alongside senior engineer
Paul Sellars (PSDigital) and clinical lead Dr Tamsin Holland Brown (Cambridge Hearing
Trust). Onboarded onto a melos-managed Flutter/Dart monorepo built on Decap CMS and
Cloudflare Workers/R2, diagnosing a Melos v7+ tooling issue and building a CI-based
Android build workaround. Work is governed by explicit child-safety, privacy, and
medical-device regulatory constraints.

Hear Glue Ear (HGE) — Standalone Prototype
Independently built a standalone prototype of Hear Glue Ear — a children's health app
originally developed by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH),
winner of the 2019 UK App Awards Children's App of the Year and UKCA/CE-marked with an
ORCHA score of 82% — after RCPCH stepped back from the project. Built out core app
sections end-to-end, engineered a custom ambient noise gauge from live microphone
sampling, and set up Cloudflare R2 to stream an 11-song content category. The prototype
validated reviving the app and was approved by the original clinical stakeholder,
leading directly into the production rebuild above.

Ulumba Fleet Management Platform
While working in an operations and admin role at Ulumba Logistics, I built a personal
compliance tracker to simplify my own day-to-day work — the team liked it enough to ask
me to integrate it into their wider fleet management platform. That grew into ongoing
contribution to a full-stack, TypeScript-based platform (Next.js/React 19, Supabase
PostgreSQL) now in live production use. I built the compliance management module, its
underlying database design in Prisma ORM and Supabase PostgreSQL, and the integration
connecting it to the wider system.
